More Than Just a Job Title

I’ve never been very good at fitting into just one box.

Over the years, my work has taken me through different roles, industries, responsibilities, and challenges. I’ve been the person behind the scenes keeping a business moving, the one turning scattered ideas into workable plans, the problem-solver brought in when things get complicated, and the person who quietly makes sure the details everyone else forgot don’t become tomorrow’s problem.

My professional titles have changed along the way: Executive Assistant, Online Business Manager, Project Manager, Branding Specialist, Digital Marketer, Social Media Manager, and Tech VA. But underneath all of them is the same thing: I like figuring things out.

I’m drawn to the parts of business that require both structure and instinct. The messy project that needs direction. The idea that is still living in someone’s head and needs to become something tangible. The process that technically works but could work so much better. The brand that has potential but hasn’t quite found its voice. The problem nobody has had the time, patience, or perspective to untangle.

In the moments when it matters most.

That is where I tend to do my best work.

With more than 25 years of combined experience, I’ve learned that being good at what you do is about more than knowing which tool to use or how to manage a project. It’s about understanding people, seeing the bigger picture, asking the questions that need to be asked, anticipating what comes next, and knowing when a plan needs to change.

I’ve also learned that experience doesn’t mean you stop learning. Quite the opposite.

I’m endlessly curious. I explore new tools, systems, ideas, technologies, and ways of working because I genuinely believe there is always a better question to ask, a smarter process to build, or a different perspective worth considering. My Lean Six Sigma background taught me to look for inefficiencies and patterns. Entrepreneurship taught me to be resourceful. Working with different people and businesses taught me that no two problems are ever exactly the same.

And life taught me something equally important: not everything can be solved with a spreadsheet.

Behind the systems, strategies, deadlines, dashboards, campaigns, and deliverables is a person who cares deeply about the work she puts her name on. I value competence, but I value integrity just as .much. I believe in doing things properly, communicating honestly, taking ownership, and leaving things better than I found them

I’m not interested in being the person who simply checks boxes.

I want to understand the why behind the work, contribute ideas, challenge what isn’t working, build what is missing, and become the kind of person a client or team can rely on when things get complicated.

Because for me, this has never really been about collecting job titles.

It’s about becoming exceptionally good at being useful — in the moments when it matters most.
